below you will find descriptions of all fitness activities Fit and Funky have to offer. All our activities are brought to you by fully qualified fitness instructors

Aerobics (Funky/Step)
Aerobics classes are designed to give you an enjoyable and challenging workout with different choreography and high and low impact alternatives. Funky aerobics is a dynamic dance based aerobics, incorporating fun and funk to spice up your workout. Step aerobics utilizes a step platform with the option of varied heights. A continuous “stepping” motion has optimum training results with the workout being high intensity but low stress to the joints

Aqua
A safe, effective and fun cardiovascular and body workout in the pool with exercises for toning the upper and lower body. Using the water’s natural resistance the muscles are toned whilst stamina is developed; the water’s buoyancy offers support for a stress free workout. These classes provide a safe supported workout for any level and are particularly suitable for those with joint problems or who are new to exercise

Body Conditioning
Conditioning Classes are suitable for exercisers of all levels, with the emphasis on technique and toning rather than intensity. These classes often include light hand weights, resistance bands, tubes or body bars to increase intensity or effect. A short aerobic warm-up is followed by a series of toning exercises to work all those problem areas including bums, tums, legs and arms

Boxercise
A circuit based class. Learn punching drills and techniques in this no frills workout focusing on skill and technique using punch bag, speed ball, gloves, shields, medicine balls and ropes! An excellent class for men and women which guarantees an inspiring workout you won't forget

B.T.T. (Bums.Tums.Thighs)
These classes do exactly what it says on the tin! Using various combinations exercise - they focus on the named body parts - to really let you see a difference - fast

Circuit Training
A combination of cardio and strength training this class allows the participant to work to their own personal level. Fit and Funky instructors will put you through a variety of strength, cardio and flexibility stations.  Feel free to go at your own pace in this highly motivating dynamic workout

Kick-Boxing 
An exciting and dynamic martial art? As well as self defence techniques, this will also improve body awareness and flexibility at same time as strengthening and toning legs, arms and torso. No experience is required as this class will challenge all levels

Pilates
Pilates is a refreshing mind-body workout, which focuses on core stability and posture, aiming to lengthen and strengthen muscles. The exercises are performed in a very slow and controlled manner with similarities to yoga as the class incorporates relaxation and breathing techniques. Pilates increases flexibility, agility, builds strength and is a safe yet challenging workout. Standing, seated and lying exercises are performed

Salsa
A class with rhythm!  Learn to Salsa dance or rehearse for that special occasion. Come and learn how to cha cha and unlock the Carmen Miranda in you

Spinning
Take your cardiovascular workout to the next level with this powerful indoor cycling class. Classes are all stationary bike based and you will be taken through a variety of intensities by changing gears, sprinting and standing on your pedals. These classes are great fun and suitable for participants of all levels

Street Dance
A mixture of different dance styles which has taken the world by storm. Come along and give it a try

Tai Chi
Sometimes described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi is the world's most popular martial art, although now mostly used for its health benefits. Tai Chi is a set of gentle exercises that strengthen the body and improves circulation - the precise postures and breathing techniques promoting good health and an increase in general fitness and strength. Tai Chi benefits everyone regardless of age and fitness level - the main benefits include increased flexibility, muscle strength and greater balance

Yoga
Yoga refers to the practise of harmonising the mind and body. The mind moves towards focus and stillness so the body is purified and toned leading to concentration of the body and gradual relaxation of the mind. Yoga classes will increase your range of motion, facilitate relaxation and release tension through focusing on posture, alignment and breathing.  An excellent way to relax and de-stress. There are many different types and applications of yoga - and it's something you can work at to get to different levels of accomplishment

Zumba
Zumba is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps
